Eli LOVES these two people and what they are doing.
First he absolutely loves his daddy of course and loves to play on his keyboard with daddy.
Eli also LOVES his aunti livi and going to starbucks with her!

he can't taste the coffee, but he can smell it!! (plus he likes to put his mouth on anything plastic)

a weekend of pictures

if you are a relative of mine and you read diane or rachel's blogs (look there for some cute pics) you will already know that we spent the weekend at with mark, diane, cousin aaron, and rachel in tullahoma. we had a WONDERFUL time- the guys worked on remodeling their bathroom and us girls talked, played with babies, and took pictures.....because that's what we do when we get together!

diane's friend Andrea is a photographer, and took eli's 6 month (really he's 7 month) pictures on saturday, and as always, she did a great job. here's two of about 50 adorable pictures she took.

i'll keep you in suspense about the rest because many of you will be receiving some in the mail....

water and fire and other niceness

okay, so its been ages since my last post.....my trip to AR & KY threw me off in the blogging area, so i've decided that today i'm going to get back into it. i have way too many cute pictures of my trip to post here, so look to facebook soon for about a hundred more pictures!.....


I've been meaning to blog about this for some time and last month i finally remembered to get a picture of my beautiful flowers......each month since elijah was born, matt has brought me flowers to celebrate his birth and me being a mommy. so on the 28th of last month, these are the beautiful flowers he brought home! what a thoughtful, sweetie husband i have.......

there's no other purpose for this picture other than i thought it was adorable. love the green and blue stripes!

so on saturday, our hot water heater finally bit the dust. its been leaking on & off for some time now, and when matt woke up on saturday, it was spraying water out of its side. so what did he do?? be the handy man that he is- took the old one out, and replaced it with a new one! i made him pose in front of our shiny new one, complete with buttons and settings on the top! way nice!!

after matt's hot water heater work and my day of yard work we relaxed with eli before bed by the fire. he absolutely loved sitting outside with us just staring at the fire and being together. what a wonderful little family we have- so blessed!

6 months already

It's hard for me to believe, but Eli was born 6 months ago! What joy he has brought our lives!! Matt and I feel blessed beyond words to have Eli our our boy and to be able to raise him to know God.

I actually teared up while looking through his pictures for this post. It's amazing how much can happen in 6 short (long?) months......here's our Eli from his first day at home, through months 1-6.....
