it was almost really bad.....

so it's a GOOD thing that Matt has set up our computer to automatically back up to our extra hard drive once a week.... because when we got home from church last night our main hard drive had crashed & burned. seriously, when matt's laughing about how messed up it is, there's definitely NO HOPE.
so i fell asleep on the futon just hoping that the backups had worked and i hadn't just lost 7 1/2 month of elijah pictures, only 2 days worth (our backup runs mondays at noon).
i woke up this morning and checked, and the fact that i am now writing this instead of laying in bed crying my eyes out means that the backups DID work, and that matt stayed up late installing whatever is needed for a computer to work again. so guess who's going to be buying an extra hard drive today to serve as a backup!? yup, that'd be me.
YEAH for being married to a computer guys.....thanks matt !!!

spring blessings

Yesterday Matt planted some butternut squash in our garden- our first thing to plant this year! We're going to (probably) plant the rest of the space in corn and green beans. Eli watched daddy work when he woke up from his nap (max and our horse watched too). Such a blessing of spring!

hey cuz (aka: cousin weekend)

Fun times were had by all last weekend as 2 daddys and 2 grandpa's went to Chicago to be theological and 3 mommies and1 aunt and 1 grandmommy went to Tullahoma to be together and get 'babyfied'. What a great group of women I am blessed to be in a family with! Enjoy the pictures everyone!!

If you click here you can watch the first time Matt ever played the guitar for Eli. He was 2 1/2 months old then and a little goo-ball. Now, he's 7 1/2 months old and starting to play for himself! I love it........

the culprits

yup, there they are.....after taking about 20 pictures, mostly of eli sticking his tongue out, i got these two semi-good pics of his soon to be two bottom teeth. YES, they are there, although you may have to click on the pics to enlarge them to get the full effect. its these two little pearlies that are keeping baby fussy and mommy on her toes.

small group

YEAH! our small group came over last night for grilling, games, and a fire. We are blessed to have a such wonderful group of people to get together with and we loved having everyone over. The kids ran around and screamed and chased each other, the babies played together on the blanket, the adults sat in our chairs and visited, and everyone ate matt's excellent hot dogs and hamburgers. What FUN!!

it was Easter in Kentucky

We got home late last night after spending 5 days at Matt's parents in KY. He worked HARD with Rachel on the hard wood floors in the cabin while I did the mommy thing and took care of Eli and took pictures. We also loved spending time with Aunt Gloria and cousin Elayna and of course our 'favorite Aunt Rachel'. We may be home, but not in our routine for long....we've got trips planned for the next 3 weekends! We're busy- even with a baby!
