my friend hollie was on Wheel of Fortune

That's right folks, I'm friends with a celebrity! One of my best friends from college was a contestant on Wheel of Fortune last night and she won big! It was totally fun to watch someone I know on TV. And I would also like to say that I did help her practice. How about 'The Price is Right' next year Hollie!

Eli sat on Matt's lap for the whole show (got up during commercials). He was saying "Go Hollie".
Spin that wheel! Big Money!
Whoo!
That's right...I know what you'll be doing Hollie.
$27k in cash and prizes. Not bad for a trip out to L.A.
Here's my token shout-out to Hollie's husband John and Hollie's mom. You guys looked great.
Silly "Doggy Door" bonus round puzzle. Should've been spelled "Doggie Door"
Watched the show twice in a row and it was even more fun the second time. Thanks Mickie for having us over to watch the show! We had a blast.

chattanooga aquarium

Today our church's "mommy & me" group went to the aquarium in Chattanooga. We had 47 from our church go- including kids! It's a wonderful aquarium with lots of neat exhibits and several hands-on areas for the kids, including a butterfly area.
We had a GREAT time and Eli absolutely loved the fish. He walked around like a champ, even through all the crowds and darkened rooms, looking at all the cool tanks with his daddy. Isaac and I hung out by the stroller most of the time and watched from a distance.

this is the sting-ray touching area. that boy loves him some water! they had another area to touch sturgeon and we had to leave b/c eli kept splashing. hehehe.
here's a picture of most all the kids that went today. i think its funny that eli is the only kid crying. he did stand there for the picture at least. isaac is in the 2nd stroller from the right.
this is eli's very first time on an escalator. he LOOOVVVEEED it with a passion. after we were done looking at all the fish he and daddy rode it about 10 times in a row.
this is what isaac did most of the day, although most of it sitting more comfortably that he looks here. he never cried once, and when i would rock him to sleep, he would stay asleep when i put him back in the stroller (it lays flat like a bed! awesome!) and then wake up happy. what a super happy people loving baby.

yo ho thumb

Two pirate bRRRRothers hanging out in the chair with a yo ho ho and a bottle of milk. i think it is absolutely hilarious that they both have pirate jammies.
isaac has his pirate snarl down perfectly. must be all those awesome pirate jokes he's heard me tell!
--------------------------------------------------------------
he loves finding that thumb. and mommy also loves it!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
this is but one example of why i cannot leave eli alone with isaac for more than a minute or two. i started a load of laundry and came back to find this. i might also mention that right after this picture eli saw that kleenex by isaac's head and tried to stuff it in isaac's mouth- he was mostly successful before i was able to intervene. sheesh!

two boys had shots

today was the day every mommy dreads: shots day. and since i have two babies, i now have to go through it twice! sad times. luckily we were able to take the boys at the same time and matt took off work to go with me so each b0y would have a lap. i think the boys did pretty well all things considering. eli's general dislike for all strangers only makes going to the doctor that much harder, and now he can say ouch and point to where it hurts- which he did repeatedly during and after the shots were administered. however we did go to chick-fil-a for lunch after the whole ordeal was over and eli played in the play area with daddy while isaac and the paci hung out on mommy's lap.
we're still having to give them tylenol every 4 hours (we can tell when it wears off) so we'll see how tonight goes. isaac seems to be the most restless and fussy. poor little boys.

mommy cuddling two boys post-shots (we're red b/c my finger was in front of the flash)

i was trying to get pictures of the boys with their bandaided legs and ended up with this most precious video instead.

Stats:
Elijah 25 lbs, 34 inches tall
Isaac 15 lb, 24 inches tall

for gram & bala

Who could ask for 3 sweeter boys!

saturday in tullahoma

Me, Eli, and Isaac had a most wonderful time visiting with Mark, Diane, Aaron, and Rachel last weekend. The big boys played, and played, and played. What sweet cousins.

isaac chillin at the Jiffy Dip
eli is invading aaron's personal space with some love
cutie boy sweeping (notice the beautiful hardwood)
aaron giving eli a letter tutorial
a proud big cousin holding isaac for the first time
Thanks diane for being such a great hostess. You are definitely blessed with the gift of hospitality. We love coming to visit you!

our sunday

This afternoon we went to the ballfield to watch our friend Alex play his first T-ball game of the season. We all loved being outside and enjoyed the company of friends (and our team won!)
Isaac hung out in the stroller until it was time to eat.

After naps and some gardening, daddy gave eli his first lesson on how to become a master griller. After all this IS serious business.....
First the tongs.
Now the grill brush.
The steaks were delicious!

Eli's room

Last night I went to a consignment pre-sale and totally scored on a rug, two pictures, and a clock for Eli's room. I hadn't been planning on decorating in trains, but when I saw the rug, I thought it was perfect. I moved the shelf from E's closet so he can have a place for books and toys. I think it looks rather cute if I do say so!

a house of love

What blessings I have.

wiggling at wiggle time

This morning I dropped Isaac off at Cindy's house, and Eli and I met up with our church's stay-at-home-moms group at Wiggle Time. It's basically a giant room filled with bounce houses, bouncy slides, and soft toys to bounce and jump on. Eli had a LOT of fun, and I may have had a little fun myself. :)
-the little boy in the pictures/video with eli is his friend Isaiah.
