stuffed animal snuggler

So I'm not really sure when or how it happened but just LOOK at all those stuffed animals in Eli's bed!! I think he's sneaked in at least 3 new ones in the past two days and I know at least 4 of the animals belong to Isaac.  It started out with one or two (nuzzy is the original of course) and now we're up to 14 stuffed animals, 3 pillows (two are Thomas pillows) and one blanket.  I know there are worse things, and honestly I think its kinda sweet- this mommy was a stuffed animal lover and once slept with 100 stuffed animals in bed...I counted.  So snuggle away Eli, although we may be in trouble next time we travel because 14 is kind of a lot to take!

a turtle and a livi

Last week when Olivia came for a visit we got a nice surprise by finding a turtle in the yard.  Eli of course was very curious and gentle- wanted to know where his head and feet were and was careful when holding the turtle.  What fun for a 2.5 year old! The turtle was scared (and rightfully so!) so he stayed hidden in his shell and we didn't get to see him walk.  But Eli held him and watched him for a long time.

Isaac on the other hand thought the turtle should be a ball and kept trying to throw him!  Poor turtle :)
Thanks for a great and sciency visit Livi!!!  We love you!

trike time

Last week when we went out in the garage Eli hopped right on his tricycle and started riding.  I'd never even seen him show much interest in it before, but there he was peddling away like he'd been doing it for weeks. I said, "Eli have you been sneaking out here at night to practice, cause that's what it looks like!"  Now riding his trike is one of his favorite things to do.

happy easter egg hunt

Enjoy these pictures from our church's easter egg hunt.  It was Eli's first time to hunt eggs and before we left i gave him the run-down on how the egg hunt thing works.  When I finished explaining he said "I'm so excited!!"  He had a really good time and scored a few good pieces of chocolate which promptly went in this mommy's tummy ;)  I may have saved him a piece or two for later.

Isaac and Daddy found eggs with the bigger kids.  Daddy enjoyed Isaac's chocolate and he even scored .50 from one egg.  Nice!
Both boys quickly decided that playing on the playground was preferable to looking for colored eggs.

I'd like to say that is chocolate around Isaac's mouth, but alas it is dirt.
 Happy Easter everyone.

toad-ally fun

So Eli found this toad while helping his daddy in the garden.  He absolutely squealed with delight when it would jump or kick its legs.  When it was time to go inside, he very carefully carried it all the way up to the house.  He called it "My toad" and even looked for it the next day when we went out to play.

This is about the point when I had to explain that toads live outside.  He had a hard time understanding why it couldn't come in with us!  Bye Bye toad :)

we love the park and RaRa

Guess who came for a visit this weekend?? Our favorite RaRa! The boys got to go to the park and eat ice cream and everything.  They even got to play with RaRa by themselves while mommy & daddy went to a movie! YEAH for RaRa time. :)
