We enjoyed some family time outside over lunch today-

happy birthday to me (yesterday)

So I was going to post this blog on my actual birthday which was yesterday, but I went to Starbucks with a friend after church- thanks mickie for the very delicious coconut mocha frapp-, then I went to wal-mart, so I got home kinda late for this mommy to blog. I did have a very nice birthday. I didn't do anything particularly out of the ordinary (other than starbucks), but just knowing that it's "your special day" makes me feel special inside. :)

My sweetie husband did make me breakfast, let me sleep as late as he could (before having to work), and took both boys home and put them to bed after church so I could go out. Putting Isaac to bed ended up being a feat for him b/c Isaac evidently REALLY likes to nurse before bed and cried for oh, about 45 minutes for matt before giving up and taking the bottle.

Here is my Oh So Delicious birthday cake that I made for myself. I am enjoying a piece right now actually.

Gotta have a picture of yourself ON your birthday- so someone at church last night took this family photo. Yup- that me being 31. I also have 3 pretty handsome fellas huh.

Isaac (and Eli) have a new toy in cousin Aaron's horse bouncer. Isaac squeals and bounces and Eli hangs on the bars. Fun Fun.

We had yet ANOTHER dreary and cool day today so this is how the boys spent part of the morning. Isaac can now hold things so it's fun to give him a toy to play with. Here he's staring at himself in the toy mirror.
And Eli has recently picked up his old hobby of reading to himself.
After reading he covered himself up with the books like a blanket.

There's nothing sweeter than a daddy and a boy who come home from a walk with a bouquet of wildflowers for mommy.

I would also like to say that last monday it was 90 degrees and today it was 50. Sheesh.

We had a Cox reunion of sorts over Easter weekend while at my parents' house. Us, my sister & bro-in-law, my grandparents, and my aunt and uncle were all there for the weekend. We used to get together every October and camp together in Heber Springs, but since we stopped that event several years ago, we all don't get together regularly. It sure was nice to see everyone again- and for them to see/meet my boys.
