more!

Here are a couple of cute videos I took at dinner tonight. We're teaching Eli to sign 'more'. Now technically the sign for 'more' is putting both hands' fingers together. We're not quite there yet, but he's getting awfully good at moving his hands from side to side. The second video is something we copied from cousin aaron. There's nothing funnier than watching your baby tense up on purpose! Enjoy.....

standing & squash

This is Eli's newest favorite thing to do: stand. He still needs help getting in a standing position (although he's trying to pull up on his own) but he wants to do it ALL THE TIME! Whether its holding onto our fingers, or standing by some piece of furniture, he loves it.

Here is what our garden looks like this year: only squash. We had high hopes of planting the rest of the space in corn, but I got the "i'm pregnant and i feel horrible" RIGHT when it was time to plant the corn, so here's our squash. It's butternut, and matt got the seeds out of some I bought at Wal-mart and fixed for Eli. Free seeds! Very thrifty husband.

By the way, the plants are gorgeous! Very green, with-so far- little bug damage.

Czy Coup

We spent Memorial Weekend in Paducah with Matt's parents and sisters so we could celebrate cousin Aaron's 1st birthday! He totally scored in the present department, but everyone's favorite was the little red car. All 3 cousins wanted to ride in it, and the boys are small enough that they could fit in together. We all took turns pushing them in the house and on the porch (especially O'Pa).

Matt and I also celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary with a night away in downtown Paducah. We stayed at an Inn right by the river where we could enjoy a delicious gluten free dinner and the downtown art/music street fair. It was a wonderful anniversary getaway.
