big brother, little sister

Here are the shirts I made for the boys and baby sister.  I think they turned out super cute, but I now realize why people on ETSY charge $25 a shirt!  The letters took forever to cut out, adhere to bonding, cut out again, iron on, then sew around. Whew!  It's a project I've slowly been working on for a couple of weeks & figured since I'm due in 1.5 weeks I might want to actually finish!

leaves & treats

I think we live in the most beautiful place- just look at how gorgeous the leaves are on our hill and at the bottom of our road! Love it!!

 --------------------------------------------------
On Friday we went over to our friend Jennifer's house for a rice-krispie treat making party.  And oh what fun the boys had stirring, but mostly eating the rice-krispie treats! (gluten free of course)

This is right as he was attempting to eat a huge chunk off the spoon

everything's better with sprinkles

our friend Brooklynn enjoyed the party too :)

band-aid bracelet

When you're a boy, you don't wear bracelets, you wear band-aids. They're practically an accessory!

FALL

Daddy's home from Orlando (yeah!) so the boys had fun playing outside "daddy style" tonight -- nothing better to do in the fall than be covered by leaves. :)  The boys laughed and laughed and had absolutely the best time.

Eli's got his smiley mouth closed b/c he kept getting bits of leaves in his mouth - which he didn't like- so matt told him to keep his mouth closed. So anytime he saw leaves headed his way he closed his mouth!

It's so fun having a sanguine daddy....he thinks of the funnest games!

sometimes we play nice

Sometimes these two brothers surprise me and actually play nicely and love on each other. :)

And I love it that these moments lasted long enough for me to get my camera!

 --------------------------------------------------------------
Matt took the boys and our friend Caydee on a "wagon" ride around the field.  They learned all about the flowers and grasses they saw.  Eli doesn't like to ride in the trailer b/c its too bumpy so he walked next to it.
Now it's Eli's turn to be held and brother rides in the trailer with Caydee.
 ---------------------------------------------------
This is random, but picture worthy in my book.  Eli's first real bowl of cereal. And in typical tidy Eli fashion, didn't spill a drop. :)
 He ate the WHOLE bowl.
 ---------------------------------------------
My last bit of randomness.....
We had a campfire on Saturday afternoon but the boys weren't interested in "sitting around the fire" with mom & dad.  So I drove the lawn mower down from the garage next to the fire where the boys played happily for the next hour!
 Lovely smiling 3 year old!
Deep in thought with hands in pockets.  Just like his daddy.
That about sums up our past several days.

webers visit

Last weekend we were so happy to have our dear friends John, Hollie, and Ava come for a visit.  They drove all the way from St. Louis to see us before the baby comes.  Ava and the boys played inside and outside, and rode the tractor, and the horse, and played on the swing set, and pulled the wagon around the yard.  Anytime Isaac asks about Ava (or Vayva as he calls her), Eli reminds him that Ava's in Missouri now. :)  Here's some of our weekend fun.
Ava's jammin on the keyboard
the boys loooved playing with "uncle" john
the daddies took the kids on a walk to watch the tractor piling hay
while on the walk they discovered some big tractors to sit on
Ava taking a ride on matt's horse
Ava was a great big sister to the boys
bedtime reading together
and this is how two boys crash after company goes home- watching Cars!
I love it how I didn't get a single picture of the two preggo mommies.  Probly for the best :)
So glad you came Weber's!!

kids in jammies are so cute

this is the face isaac made when i asked him to say 'cheese'

smiled then immediately asked to see the picture so he could look at the tractor

playing before bed

the boy has a slight obsession with his big brother's rain boots
and on a baby sister note, my due date is one month from today!  looks like she's got lots of tractors to play with :)

i love a 3 year old

This afternoon eli displayed his 3-year-old-ness.
He told me he had a hurty on his forehead- said he banged it on the lawnmower.  Then he asked for a band-aid.  At first my logicalness said that's ridiculous, there's nothing wrong with you, we're not wasting a band-aid on a fake hurty.  Then I thought to myself, he's just being 3, let's roll with it.  No big deal and who cares if he is wearing a band-aid on his forehead.  So I gave him a band-aid and made him the happiest boy alive.
Then he told me nuzzy had a hurty forehead too and needed a band-aid.  So I thought, who cares if nuzzy has a band-aid and gave him one.
Those two are in bed and are still wearing those band-aids.  Love me a 3 year old.

And here's the 3 year old playing a colors/letters game with me.  He told me nuzzy and the Mac truck were going to help him find the colors so he lined them up so they could see the board too!  So funny.
And you may have noticed the boy wearing a winter hat indoors.  We were outside today and it was quite chilly so he wore a hat.  Then when we came inside he told me he wanted to keep it on- so he did- and proceeded to wear it inside for the next 3.5 hours.  Oh the life of a 3 year old!

This was our morning.  Play in the backyard then come inside and run round the circle 20 times while bouncing balloons. Fun times for two little boys who like to run & play, and for a mommy who can sit in the chair and watch it happen :)
sweetie boy smile

he's found a worm

eli has realized that isaac has something interesing. isaac ended up pulling the worm apart (gross!)  but then they each had one!

being a silly boy talking to isaac

isaac laughing about eli acting silly (and still holding the worm piece)
happy weekend everybody.
