bunny hats

On Tuesday we painted with paint dots

 Then turned their paintings into bunny hats.

 Sister is wearing Eli's hat.

They lasted all of 5 seconds before Isaac decided to pull the cotton balls off his bunny ears. :)

sun catchers

On Monday we made easter egg sun catchers out of construction paper, contact paper, and tissue paper. It was a really easy project and the result is beautiful.

My little melancholy boy is placing each piece of tissue paper in its perfect location.

My little sanguine boy started out putting on the pieces on at a time....

and then decided that a whole handful was much more efficient. After this eli followed suit and both were done. 

And so we moved on to cutting with scissors and coloring. :)

a brother, a sister, and a brother

we've been practicing cutting with scissors so i had to have a talk with Isaac about not cutting anything but paper (only mommy & GaGa cut hair). he's super curious so i imagine one day soon he'll give his hair a chop.

This two little sweeties spent some impromptu time in the chair together. I think its so sweet how eli put his hand behind her head. (I think he's teaching her to play monster trucks b/c he sat with her for a while)

This little sweetie has been under the weather for a few days and this is how he spent his saturday morning. 

And this is right after Isaac had what is now known as "The Biggest Blibbett Of All Time".  I sat Eli on the stool to watch Isaac and tell me if he pooped in the tub....so i could go clean up said blibbett. :)

took the pen apart and was studying the intricacies of how the pieces fit together

i'd say we're well on our way to a toaster being taken apart by age 8, and a computer by age 15. Aheeem. Huh, Matt. :)

easter craft

Today the boys made hand print bunnies and then painted little ceramic figures RaRa bought for them when esther was born. You can see the white hand prints in the picture below... 

 I painted on eyes, a nose, and whiskers and voila---bunnies!!

Eli's are on the left, isaac's on the right.

A couple of days ago after Isaac's haircut & bath he was cold so he covered himself up with two blankets and read a book. Melts my heart.

potato art

For Lent we've given up TV so I'm determined to fill that time in the morning with something crafty.  Today I made stamps out of potatoes (a heart, star, circle, and square) and the boys used paints to stamp/smother paint on their papers. The potatoes make it easy for little hands to hold onto.

We started off with only yellow & blue paints so they could watch it turn green when mixed.  They love to paint and Isaac is finally old enough that he doesn't get super messy anymore. Unless he rubs his painty hands through his hair. :)

Esther watched us for a while then decided watching is exhausting and took a nap.

How some people can get 3 kids to sit still and actually make a good photo I'll never know.

As I was washing Isaac's hands after painting pictures, I look over to see Eli painting his neck, face, and arms.  His response, "Don't I look pretty Mom!"

I said yes you do, but please don't paint on yourself anymore. 

Then I took a picture. :)
